Welcome!

If you're here, you have probably heard the buzz about Cat Bordhi's book, New Pathways for Sock Knitters: Book One.

Katrina, Donna, and I (along with a lot of other Portland-area knitters) attended a book signing last week and were wowed by Cat's talk and the new sock architectures ("sockitechtures") she's come up with. We even got to see the socks in person . . .

Here's hoping you'll grab yourself a copy of the book and join us in experimenting with these new designs. It's going to be a fabulous adventure and we want lots of company! *grin*

If you'd like to knit along with us, simply leave a comment here (please include your email address), or send an email to amandawoodruff AT gmail DOT com.

Thanks! I can't wait to cast on!

OOOH! OOOH! As soon as I finish my current socks OTN, I'm planning to tackle Cat's book. An Along sounds perfect! Coreolis is first on my list, I think. :)

oooh! oooh! I'm knitting a pair of Riverbed, and next I want to do a pair of Coriolis that I've had in my head since April!

I'd love to join! Missed the book signing but bought the book and immediately started reading and knitting. So far I've got a couple of useless little learning socks and a nice pair that will go back to Mongolia with my cousin to keep his youngest child's feet warm this winter (they're missionaries there). I love the architectures and am swatching now for my first master pattern. Yippee!
Please add me.

I'd like to join. Missed the book signing (didn't know about it) but I had been watching for the book to come out after seeing Cat on Knitty Gritty doing the Coreolis socks. I'm going to work my way through the book in order doing the baby socks. I have 4 small grandchildren so the socks are perfect size!

I can't wait to receive my book - should be this week, or maybe next. I'm sort of afraid to try these new techniques - I haven't used circs yet. I love dpn's though so I'm wondering if it would be possible to convert the patterns. I guess I'll find out when I get the book! I just got invited to Ravelry & joined this group there. Looking forward to the adventure.

Yeah, I found this through Ravelry too. ^_^ I checked the book out last night (low book budget) and my husband was laughing at me. The rule is at least 3 patterns I would knit before it gets added to "The List". Well, by the end of the book, I had yet to find a pattern I wouldn't make! LOL
